Organizational planning & evaluation

How a recurring communications program could connect objectives, audiences, delivery, and evidence without inventing DEP operations.

Operating principles established • Ongoing targets and schedules open

A traceable planning sequence

1 · Purpose

Start with a documented institutional priority, then select a relevant communications objective and intended audience response.

2 · Execution

Use a brief to specify audience, message, asset or channel, necessary scientific and stakeholder review, and delivery constraints.

3 · Learning

Select evidence that could answer whether the communication reached an appropriate audience or supported its intended response.

What is established and what remains open

  • Approved framework. All three historical Education and Outreach objectives are standing priorities; attention can flex rather than follow arbitrary quotas.
  • Ongoing objectives. No ongoing-CRCP SMART communications objective, numeric target, baseline or deadline has been approved.
  • Editorial delivery. The ongoing delivery-plan workbook tab is still a structure for future work, not a real DEP calendar or staffing schedule.
  • Evaluation. The measurement tab has placeholders and evaluation prompts, but no invented ongoing KPIs or results.
  • Shared coordination. A single piece of science content may be relevant to both workstreams, but production and outcome claims must not be counted twice.

Working evidence and next review

Internal references: CRCP workbook tabs 0 Strategic Frame, 2 Objectives, 4 Delivery Plan, 5 Measurement, and 8 Decision Register. This material is being organized for the portfolio and is not a claim of an approved DEP strategy or observed communications result. The strategic foundation is substantively complete for this independent exercise. Further work focuses on polished employer-facing presentation and selected content assets.

Selected working notes

Selected original planning entries, not yet edited for portfolio publication. The complete records and supporting qualifications remain in the original workbook.

Current objective status

  • CURRENT STATUS: No ongoing CRCP communications SMART objective, baseline, numerical target or deadline has been approved. The blank objective rows above are intentional.
  • BleachWatch training-completion target belongs to its own workbook. Any future shared portfolio reporting should avoid double counting and preserve distinct outcomes.

Planning safeguards

  • Portfolio evidence

Employer should be able to trace public source → interpretation → approved objective/decision → proposed communication → evaluation.

  • Institutional boundaries

No assumed real DEP team, internal approvals, campaign authority, partner commitments or performance data.

  • Measurement boundary

Do not invent organizational KPIs or baseline changes. BleachWatch measurements remain in its own workbook until integration decisions.

  • Simulation disclosure

Any future simulated data must be labeled PORTFOLIO SIMULATION — HYPOTHETICAL DATA; NOT DEP OR BLEACHWATCH RESULTS.

Evaluation questions

  • What was delivered?
  • What audience response was observed?
  • What did the evidence NOT establish?
  • What external factors may have influenced results?
  • What should change next time?

Selected planning decisions

  • D11 · Editorial integration

A proposed shared editorial calendar will visibly show ongoing CRCP communications alongside the BleachWatch campaign.

    APPROVED CONCEPT
  • D13 · Measurement integration

Explore one leadership reporting overview with distinct ongoing-CRCP and BleachWatch views, preserving separate measures.

    APPROVED CONCEPT
  • D14 · Portfolio item states

Distinguish produced professional samples, planned/briefed assets not produced, and concept-only calendar entries.
